About the Farm Agents Council
The Farm Agents Council (FAC) is a subsidiary of Big I Illinois whose members are licensed independent insurance agencies who write farm, agri-business and/or crop insurance through more than one carrier.
The FAC was formed to bring those specializing in this area of the industry together for networking, education and peer-to-peer learning. The FAC offers two in-person events each year, the Mid-Winter Meeting in January, and the Golf Outing & Annual meeting each June.
The FAC Board is comprised of a Governing Board Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary-Treasurer, as well as nine other members from across the state.

I belong to the Farm Agents for the lifelong relationships built with other independent farm agents and company representatives as well as the efforts made by the association on our behalf in Washington. The events are an opportunity to put a face with those carrier representatives that you talk to on a daily basis and strengthens those company relationships. It’s also an opportunity to may hear about what other agents and company reps are seeing the industry whether it be challenges we are facing or new product development to share with our clients.

I belong to the Big I Illinois Farm Agents Council because it give me the opportunity to get up to date information on farm related insurance topics, the latest trends in agriculture and the insurance solutions for those trends, and it gives me access to a multitude of carriers that write coverage for agriculture, including access to the company upper management levels that I might not be able to find if I was not able to attend the FAC Conferences.
